After having very demanding careers for decades in the Southern California area, my lovely wife and I both decided to retire from that way of life and move to the good life in Nebraska where family resides and we could have the opportunity for us both to do what we enjoy for a living.  She has been blessed with the talent to make beautiful hand-crafted jewelry, and I combine live edge wood with custom decorative iron bases with a variety of different designs to make one-of-a-kind coffee, end, and sofa or hall tables.

I combine years of welding and interior woodworking experience to make unique pieces.  All the wood I use is from local trees that, for one reason or another, have finished their time on this earth after having performed their duty for many decades.  So instead of being allowed to simply deteriorate, they are transformed into pieces of beauty to be enjoyed for many more decades.  I will take a rough-cut slab of wood such as oak, maple, walnut, etcetera, and let the shape and the grain of the wood inspire the outcome.

I usually apply several coats of sealer only, instead of a stain, which allows the beauty of the natural wood colors to come through.  I can make almost any size of iron base to support the wood.  The metal bases are powder coated so as to be more durable against bumps and scrapes, and there are a variety of colors to choose from.  The choices for the decorative metal bases are almost endless.

Let me know if I can help you let the metal and wood inspire you for a one-of-a-kind item.
